How energy can be stored
The upgrading of biogas into biomethane of almost any desired purity makes it possible to feed it into the natural gas grid or use it via CNG filling stations using this superior technology.
Cost-effective and environmentally friendly
Gas separation via hollow fiber membranes is an exclusively electrically driven process and requires no chemicals, no water, and no other aids.
The big environmental plus
- outstanding energy efficiency
- no water consumption
- no wastewater
- no consumable chemicals!
The economic analysis clearly demonstrates superiority over previous technologies such as pressurized water scrubbing, pressure swing absorption, or amine scrubbing. Due to the relatively simple technology and high efficiency, ongoing operating costs are at the lowest level.
As a side effect of the membrane separation process, moisture contained in the gas is also separated – thus, no subsequent gas drying for grid feed-in is required.

From CHP to biomethane plant
Due to its compact design, this technology is particularly suitable for upgrading biogas plants with existing CHPs or for replacing old, depreciated CHPs without appropriate heat utilization.
Individual, flexible and effective
After years of preparatory work and GT-Himmel's experience, we are well equipped to provide tailor-made solutions.
From the 3D model to the profitability calculation, all parameters can be planned quickly, including coordination with the interfaces of the upstream and downstream systems.
A high degree of prefabrication allows construction times to be drastically reduced. Each system is fully pre-assembled, tested, technically inspected, and delivered as a fully functional unit.
The careful selection of components and high quality workmanship guarantee long-term, trouble-free operation.
In addition to turnkey containers, installation in existing or newly constructed buildings with pre-assembled components is also possible in a short assembly time.

We are happy to be your partner
We work with relevant authorities such as TÜV (Technical Inspection Agency), etc., right from the engineering phase. All current technical regulations and applicable safety standards are therefore already part of our planning in advance.
We support our customers with our know-how and experience for technical inquiries, advice, initial preliminary calculations or even for the delivery of complete systems.
Our technicians will be happy to advise you and answer your questions.
